A Glance at the Powertrain Options of the Ram 3500

The 6.4L HEMI V8 engine can produce up to 410 horsepower, which is best-in-class, and has a maximum towing capacity of 16,480 pounds. This engine uses two spark plugs per cylinder to optimize performance.

The six-speed manual transmission is only available with the 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. The six-speed manual transmission is standard with the 6.4L HEMI V8 engine. You can also choose the available AISIN six-speed automatic transmission that is an electronically controlled automatic rear-wheel drive transmission, which is designed to handle higher engine output.
